Thor Garcia se narodil v Long Beach v Kalifornii, pracoval jako novinář například v Los Angeles, San Francisku a New Yorku, poté se přestěhoval do Prahy. Vydal román THE NEWS CLOWN: A NOVEL (Equus Press) a sbírky povídek ONLY FOOLS DIE OF HEARTBREAK (Equus Press) a TUND (Litteraria Pragensia). Jim Ruland

Jim Ruland je autorem románu Forest of Fortune (Tyrus Books), sbírky povídek Big Lonesome (Gorsky Press) a spoluautorem Giving the Finger, vlastního životopisu Scotta Campbella, Jr., lodního kapitána z pořadu Nejsmrtelnější úlovek stanice Discovery Channel (Lyons Press). Momentálně pracuje s Keithem Morrisem na jeho pamětech nazvaných My Damage, v nichž Morris vzpomíná na život se skupinami Black Flag, Circle Jerks a OFF! (Da Capo 2016). Jim žije v jižní Kalifornii, kde organizuje autorská čtení Vermin on the Mount, letos se koná jedenáctý ročník.

He is currently collaborating with Keith Morris on his memoir My Damage about his life with Black Flag, Circle Jerks and OFF! (Da Capo 2016). Jim lives in Southern California where he runs the reading series Vermin on the Mount, now in its eleventh year.

Petr Váša

Petr Váša (1965) se narodil v Brně, vystudoval dějiny umění na Masarykově univerzitě (1988) a založil následující hudební skupiny: Z kopce (1985), Ošklid (1987) a A-Beat (1990). ). Po skončení jejich činnosti se věnoval především projektu fyzického básnictví (od roku 1991 performance a nahrávky, od r. 1992 kresby, vizuální poezie, od 1993 vede kurzy a workshopy na různých uměleckých školách a festivalech).

Mimo jiné vydal sbírku básní a kreseb doplněnou o audiokazetu s názvem Texty, básně, poemes physiques (Maťa/Black Point 1994) a CD Cirkus-Chaos-Minaret (Wolf Records 1998), zvukově-vizuální “definici” žánru fyzické poezie. Po několika letech sólového působení založil v roce 1999 skupinu Ty syčáci, s níž dosud vydal alba Máj v dubnu (2000), Lék a jed (2001), Samota, sláva, smrt a spása (2002), Lišák je lišák (2005), Bum bum bum (2007), Krása (2010) and Eldorado (2013; vše Indies Records). V roce 2005 vydal ilustrovanou sbírku básní Návrat Plavce Jindřicha (Petrov) a v roce 2007 na CD antologii fyzické poezie Manifesto (Black Point). V roce 2008 publikoval na svém webu video story fyzického básnictví In Motion, ztvárňující příběh fyzické poezie, a od roku 2009 tamtéž prezentuje svou práci formou obrázkových knih. Své zkušenosti shrnul v knize doprovázené DVD Fyzické básnictví (“historie, fantazie, teorie a praxe”) (Host, 2011).

Petr Váša was born in Brno (1965), graduated with a degree in Art History at Brno University (1988), and founded the following music bands: Z kopce (1985), Oąklid (1987), and A-Beat (1990). After the end of their activities, he devoted himself primarily to the project of physical poetry (from 1991 – performances and recordings, from 1992 – drawings, visual poems, from 1993 – courses and workshops at various art schools and festivals).
He published, among others, a book of poetry and drawings with an accompanying audio cassette calledTexty, básně, poemes physiques (Lyrics, poems, physial poems; Maťa/Black Point 1994) and a CD called Cirkus-Chaos-Minaret (Wolf Records 1998), a sound/visual “definition” of the physical poetry genre. After a years of solo performing, he founded the band Ty Syčáci (1999), with whom he released to date the albums Máj v dubnu(May in April; 2000), Lék a jed (Medicine and Poison; 2001), Samota, sláva, smrt a spása (Solitude, Glory, Death, Salvation; 2002), Lišák je lišák (The Fox is a Fox; 2005), Bum bum bum (Boom Boom Boom; 2007), Krása(Beauty; 2010)
and Eldorado (2013; all released on Indies Records). In 2005 he published illustrated book of poems Návrat Plavce Jindřicha (The Return of Henry the Swimmer; Petrov) and in 2007 CD anthology of physical poetry Manifesto (Black Point). In 2008 he published on his website video story of physical poetry In Motion and from 2009 he presents at the same place his art work in the form of pictorial books. He resumed his experiences in book and DVD Fyzické básnictví (Physical Poetry, „history, fantasy, theory and praxis“; Host 2011).

Ken Nash

Ken Nash je americký umělec, ilustrátor, animátor, hudebník a spisovatel, žije v Praze. Založil projekt autorských čtení Alchemy Reading & Performance Series a vydal dvě původní alba, Magic Squirrels (2009) and Human Creatures (2013). Je autorem sbírky krátkých próz The Brain Harvest: Autobiographical Narratives and Other Fictions (Equus Press, 2012). Jeho kniha pro začínající čtenáře, nazvaná Never Give Your Heart to Rebecca Peterson, Because She’s a Tramp, se nejspíše dokončení nedočká.

Ken Nash is an American artist, illustrator, animator, musician and writer based in Prague. He is the founder of the Alchemy Reading & Performance Series and has created two albums of original music, Magic Squirrels (2009) and Human Creatures (2013). His collection of short fiction “The Brain Harvest: Autobiographical Narratives and Other Fictions” was published by Equus Press (2012). His book for early readers “Never Give Your Heart to Rebecca Peterson, Because She’s a Tramp” will probably never be written.

Christodoulos Makris

Christodoulos Makris vyrůstal v Nikósii, žil také v Manchesteru, Londýně, od roku 2001 žije v Dublinu. Jeho nejnovější knihou je The Architecture of Chance (Wurm Press, 2015). Podílel se na uspořádání dvojjazyčné antologie Centrifugal: Contemporary Poetry from Dublin and Guadalajara (EBL-Cielo Abierto / Conaculta, 2014) a v září 2014 produkoval a organizoval projekt Yes But Are We Enemies, sérii básnických vystoupení po celém Irsku, na nichž se podílelo více než 40 autorů. Christodoulos Makris grew up in Nicosia, and has also lived in Manchester, London and since 2001 in Dublin. His most recent book is The Architecture of Chance (Wurm Press, 2015). He co-edited the bilingual exchange anthology Centrifugal: Contemporary Poetry from Dublin and Guadalajara (EBL-Cielo Abierto / Conaculta, 2014) and in September 2014 produced and co-curated Yes But Are We Enemies, an Ireland-wide tour of poetry collaborations that involved more than 40 poets. Samuel Vriezen

Samuel Vriezen (1973) je skladatel a spisovatel, žije a pracuje v Amsterdamu. Složil na sedmdesát skladeb pro různé nástroje, jeho básně a eseje vyšly v řadě nizozemských i mezinárodních literárních a odborných periodik. Působí rovněž jako překladatel poezie a pianista. V roce 2008 debutoval básnickou sbírkou 4 Zinnen (Wereldbibliotheek); v roce 2012 vyšlo jeho první sólové album, obsahující vedle původních skladeb také práce Toma Johnsona (vyd. Edition Wandelweiser Records). Brzy vyjde soubor jeho esejů na rozličná témata z oblasti umění, politiky i teorie, Netwerk in eclips.

Samuel Vriezen (1973) is a composer and writer working and living in Amsterdam. In addition to some seventy compositions for various instrumentations, Vriezen has published poetry and essays in a variety of Dutch and international literary and scholarly reviews, as well as being active as a poetry translator and as a pianist. In 2008, his first poetry collection 4 Zinnen was published by Wereldbibliotheek; in 2013, his first solo CD, of original music and work by Tom Johnson, was published by Edition Wandelweiser Records. A book of essays on a variety of artistic, political and theoretical subjects, Netwerk in eclips, is forthcoming.

Kimberly Campanello

Kimberly Campanello má americké a irské občanství a působí v Dublinu a Londýně. Debutová sbírka Consent jí vyšla v květnu 2013 v nakladatelství Doire Press. V roce 2011 vydalo nakladatelství Wurm Press její básně Spinning Cities. V květnu vyjde u New Dublin Press v limitovaném nákladu litografická sbírka Imagines, která zahrne její básně a hudební partitury Benjamina Dwyera. Hlavním tématem budou starobylé kamenorytiny sheela-na-gig (rytiny zobrazující ženské postavy s odhaleným přirozením). Produkuje ji Distinctive Repetition Design Studio. Knihu doplní nahrávka s hudbou v provedení violisty Gartha Knoxe a poezií Campanellové. V září vydá u zimZalla Avant Objects další projekt MOTHERBABYHOME.

Kimberly Campanello is a dual American
and Irish citizen based in Dublin and London. Her first collection Consent was published by Doire Press in May 2013. Her pamphlet Spinning Cities was published by Wurm Press in 2011. In May, New Dublin Press will release imagines, a limited edition lithograph of poems by Campanello and musical scores by Benjamin Dwyer focusing on the ancient sheela-na-gig stone carvings. It will be produced by Distinctive Repetition Design Studio and include an audio recording of Garth Knox (viola) and Campanello’s poetry. In September, zimZalla Avant Objects will publish MOTHERBABYHOME.

Rike Scheffler

Rike Scheffler žije v Berlíně a její tvorba se pohybuje na pomezí poezie a hudby. Publikovala v řadě časopisů a antologií a upravuje své práce pro jevištní provedení do podoby koláží z písní, textů a zvuků. V roce 2014 jí v nakladatelství kookbooks Verlag vyšla sbírka básní der rest ist resonanz. Je finalistkou 20. ročníku soutěže Open Mike a držitelkou grantu nadace Brandenburger Tor. Pro Festival of Future Nows vedený Olafurem Eliassonem organizovala básnické vstupy Words That Hurt. Scheffler je spoluzakladatelkou básnického seskupení G13, skupiny autorů, kteří propojují poezii s experimentálními jevištními vystoupeními a organizují otevřené autorské dílny, jejichž cílem je podporovat sounáležitost a kritickou interakci mezi autory. V současné době pracuje se skladatelem Claudiem Puntinem na opeře.

Rike Scheffler, based in Berlin, creates work at the intersection of poetry and music. She has published work in many journals and anthologies and has set this work in song, text, and tone collages for the stage. Her poetry collection der rest ist resonanz appeared in 2014 from kookbooks Verlag. Scheffler was a finalist at the 20th Open Mike and a grant recipient of the Stiftung Brandenburger Tor. She curated the poetry interventions words that hurt at Olafur Eliasson’s festival of future nows. Scheffler co-found the poetry collective G13, a group of writers who bring together poetry with experimental stage productions and organise open writing workshops in an effort to encourage solidarity and a critical exchange among authors. She is currently working on an opera with composer Claudio Puntin.

Louis Armand

Louis Armand je autorem šesti románů, mezi nimi neo-noirové Snídaně o půlnoci (2012; Richard Marshall z časopisu 3AM román označil za “dokonalý moderní noir”) a Cairo (2014; nominován na cenu Not the Booker Prize listu Guardian).
